Deep Style, Southwest Art Wedding Basket, also known as the “Navajo Wedding Basket” is a favorite among basket collectors.  Originated by the Paiutes and adopted by the Navajo, it is a tightly coiled basket consisting of a triple sumac rod foundation with a continuous fiber spiral overlay, and finished by a false braid or herring bone weave.  . Baskets are colored with natural dyes making it is a true gift of the Earth.
