Deep Style, Southwest Art Wedding Basket, also known as the “Navajo Wedding Basket” is a favorite among basket collectors.  Originated by the Paiutes and adopted by the Navajo, it is a tightly coiled basket consisting of a triple sumac rod foundation with a continuous fiber spiral overlay, and finished by a false braid or herring bone weave.  . Baskets are colored with natural dyes making it is a true gift of the Earth. Your Wedding basket makes for great wall hangings, table accessories and more southwest décor or Native American Décor.  You can fill the deep basket with flowers, rocks, marbles, or hang on wall just as it is.  It's handmade, so color, southwest design and size will vary.
